Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Customer Support Specialist to join our team. This role is the primary point of contact for our valued internal and external customers, providing exceptional service and technical support. The ideal candidate will combine a professional communication style with the ability to understand technical manufacturing processes and product specifications.
Qualifications
- Experience: Prior customer service experience is required. Experience within a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; additional business or technical training is a plus.
- Abilities: Ability to apply common-sense understanding to technical drawings and follow complex verbal and written instructions.
Responsibilities
- Customer Engagement: Respond promptly and courteously to all inbound customer inquiries via phone and email.
- Order Management: Accurately enter customer sales orders and confirm pricing and product availability on purchase orders.
- Technical Support: Read technical prints and diagrams to determine necessary components and assist in gathering information for upcoming projects.
- Problem Solving: Actively assist with solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations; perform independent investigations of problems as they arise.
- Collaboration: Establish and maintain efficient working relationships with employees, vendors, and shop staff to ensure project success.
